Good News For Positive Thinkers

Think. Do. Be. A Positive Thinker!

Has the economy got you down?  Do you believe all the press tells you about the economy?  Is it as bad as they say?  Do you want to know what to do about it?

Why is it I have a friend in the real estate business who tells me that only a few of her company’s agents are selling, and another agent who reads this newsletter is so busy she has very little personal time….Well read below.  But first our humor section...

This was developed as an age test by a R&D department at Harvard University.

Take your time and see if you can read each line aloud without a mistake. The average person over 40 years of age can't do it !!!!!!!

1. This is this cat
2. This is is cat
3. This is how cat
4. This is to cat
5. This is keep cat
6. This is an cat
7. This is old cat
8. This is person cat
9. This is busy cat
10. This is for cat
11. This is forty cat
12. This is seconds cat.
Now go back and read the third word in each line
from the top down and I betcha you can't resist passing it on

One of my favorite people is a fantastic lady by the name of Lynn Maxy, who I wrote about before, and she sent me the following poignant story.

The Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle
that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between "two wolves" inside us all…

One is Evil.
It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good.
It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:  "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied;

"The One You Feed"

The famous sage, businessperson, author, motivator, Earl Nightengale wrote a book and did a tape series on of all things, ‘The Strangest Secret.’  I listened to that tape years ago and in it Earl revealed the secret.

He said, “Throughout history all the wise men, and philosophers have disagreed on every subject known to man, but they are in complete agreement on one thing:  You become what you think about.  If you think success you become successful, if you think failure you become a failure.

Now come on, don’t give me that old line, “but Ken you don’t know my circumstances.”  If you wish I will give you a list of successful business that started in the Great Depression.

And, read what the great pundit, writer, Nobel and Oscar winner George Bernard Shaw said about Circumstances.  “People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are.  I don’t believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this life are the people who get up and look for circumstances they want, and if they can’t fine them make them.”

If you want to talk about Circumstances go back and read some o these newsletters about Blind and disabled Shirley Cheng or Kandee G. or Stacey Kannenberg or Dana Bowman, or go to their websites.  shirleycheng.com    kandeeg.com    cedarvalleypublishing.com   danabowman.com

Are you a realtor having trouble selling houses?  Then perhaps you need to check up on Tom Hopkins.  If you sell automobiles then perhaps you should read about Joe Girard.  Tom now has his own motivational company, and Joe Girard went bankrupt in the construction business and convinced a car dealer to hire him during Christmas, the worst selling time of the year for cars.  A man walked in off the street in Michigan just to get warm.  Joe sold him a car and went on to make history to be listed in the Guinness book as the Worlds Greatest Salesman.

All of the above mentioned people are members of the World Positive Thinkers Club.

Now look, I am of the belief that you don’t fire your employees, you fire them up, and so a little tough love is good once in a while.   That being said, you should not be offended by the above paragraphs that are meant to fire you up.  Hopefully, I was able to keep my reputation as a diplomat.  You know, that is the person who tells you to go to he-- and makes you look forward to the trip.

For some additional exciting news:  The World Positive Thinkers Club is going to sponsor a very important national contest in the very near future, which will coincide with my revised book published by Fell Publishing.  We are putting together an exciting contest for high school students, who by the way are this great countries future.  Now is the time.  “The first and finest lesson parents can teach their children is faith and courage.” ----Smiley Blanton-M.D. ---  And our contest is going to add the most important attribute children need to compete in this ever changing world.  Stay tuned.

The contest was thought up by my brilliant friend and author Thelma Gray, who just happens to be in the Public Relations Hall of Fame, was named Woman of the Year by the Advertising Federation of America, as well as winning many other awards.

If you are as concerned for your child and America’s children as I am and are curious and/or would like to become involved after hearing more get back to me.

Meanwhile, have a great week and strongend….We don’t have “weakends”
